Maybe Tuesday night isn’t the best crowd a band is going to draw. Regardless, Fight Nice braved the candle-lit blackness of Martyrs’ and played for the sheer joy of it. Martyrs’ (I never know where to put that apostrophe, sorry) is a very nice venue, and the staff was cool. We got to set up on a surprisingly huge stage, and the sound mix was really good. Not too many people were around to hear us celebrate our tenth gig together, but songs were met with friendly applause from the darkness. I was truly impressed with the energy and tightness that Dean and Brian brought to this nearly public rehearsal. This was a great opportunity for us to nail down the technical aspects of our show and our gear setups. We want to play if there are five or five hundred people there, so I call it a night well spent. Were you there?
